Like all geeks, I spend most of my free time thinking about technology – if I could do this it would make my life easier, and that would look really cool. I also get a lot of websites and other projects through friends, so I never have the excuse ‘but I have nothing to do’.
When I come up with an idea, the first thing I think of is “would someone else benefit from this” if so, I start a personal project to release that idea as an open-source product. Now, not all of my ideas are feasible, and some of them are too grand for just one person to build on their own, so they might be put up here for others to see and if they want, they can express their interest and offer to help.
Other times I might start work on a project, and then it will sit there, dormant for a year or two, until I remember it. That’s why I’ve built this page, as a place I can go to when I want to work on something. It’ll remind me where I left off on the dormant projects, and hopefully inspire others to lend a hand.
So below, you’ll see two categories of projects – active and future. The active projects are he personal projects I am currently working on while the future projects are projects I have thought about, with a view to starting them someday, if I get some support from others, but mostly they are just ideas.
