Crash Test Dummy
On Sunday the 9th of December I was in a car accident which resulted in Stephanie’s car being written off.
I was coming back from a friend’s place in Byford hills, heading down the hill approaching a blind corner on a narrow road, to slow down, took my eyes off the road for a second, looked back up, and a car had come ’round the blind corner. As I said the road was narrow, so she was in the middle of the lane. So I slammed on the breaks, and the breaks locked and the car skidded out of control. The car slid off the road, into a ditch, up the other side of the ditch, and into a tree, the back wheels lifted off the road and the car started to tip.
When it landed, it came down on the right-read tyre, and the wheel snapped off – if it hadn’t, I would have flipped the car.
The woman in the other car had stopped about 4-5 metres short of the crash.
The only injuries I sustained were sore knuckles from where my hand (which was on the gear-stick) went into the stereo and grated some skin off, and a sore shoulder from the force of my hand hitting the stereo while my muscles were tense, thats about it
