Android Kit Kat

So Google have announced the latest ‘big name’ version of Android as being 4.4, named Kit Kat. Nestle is in on the deal with a website that looks more like a product launch from some Silicon Valley giant than a chocolatier.

The announcement comes without any other details, so I am looking forward to seeing what awesomeness Google plan on bundling in with this new version of their smartphone OS. I doubt it will be as big a jump as we saw when Ice Cream Sandwich was released, and I think Google has made the right decision by opting to add new user-centric features via applications and letting the operating system focus on hardware-centric features. Really hoping the HTC One will be getting the update once it is released, as I am hoping to upgrade from the HTC Sensation towards the end of the year.
